Sundblad 's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PanamáFC the free kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. German Estebe was the one to do the kick off. When Braulio Cilio fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sundblad 's protests and gave Braulio Cilio a yellow card for diving instead. Vladimiro Luzea took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victoriano Igon. Victoriano Igon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 62nd minute Vladimiro Luzea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Igon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of PanamáFC booed when Sundblad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filomeno Sanson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by German Estebe in the 67th minute of play forced PanamáFC's goalkeeper Victoriano Igon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victoriano Igon was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Sundblad 's zone, Braulio Vistruario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteve Corderun came out of the goal and Braulio Vistruario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Sundblad getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Braulio Cilio hit a great ball. Sundblad 's Esteve Corderun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Tomi in the 87th minute of play.
