When the match had been going on for 7 minutes, Hernandarias's Damaso Playo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Leonel Bermudez. Saverio Theobald's late challenge caught a La Holaneta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saverio Theobald helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th match minute, Hernandarias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Theobald to maneuver through the defense. La Holaneta's Fabio Fidele got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Uriel Etxahun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Santo Lleir came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sergio Tomi could save by the left post. 61 minutes into the match, Hernandarias's goalkeeper Sergio Tomi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santo Lleir. In the 61st minute Fabio Fidele suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. After 61 minutes of play Hernandarias's Saverio Theobald was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Sergio Tomi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Sengrat in the 65th minute of play. After 69 played minutes Hernandarias got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Tolino. Leonel Bermudez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Mincho in the 72nd minute of play. Leonel Bermudez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uriel Etxahun in the 73rd minute of the match. Pastor Mincho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pastor Mincho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonel Bermudez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Pastor Mincho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Leonel Bermudez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonel Bermudez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Mincho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pastor Mincho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonel Bermudez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Etxahun in the 96th minute of play. Pastor Mincho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the La Holaneta players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hernandarias.
