In the 12th minute Lino Osoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bonifacio Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismael Tajo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernan Mikeldi in the 13th minute of the match. When Celso Constancio fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fortín's protests and gave Celso Constancio a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Huanchillas AFC a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. In the 35th minute of the match Fortín got a corner. Huanchillas AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomás Evangelista ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bonifacio Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Osoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Fernan Mikeldi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ismael Tajo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaudencio Noe's late challenge caught a Fortín's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bonifacio Vargas came out of the goal and Cristian Theodore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lino Osoro in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bonifacio Vargas saved Huanchillas AFC from getting behind. Virgilio Lauro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ismael Tajo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ismael Tajo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernan Mikeldi in the 98th minute of the match. Virgilio Lauro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 100th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Huanchillas AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
