The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bernardino Joanes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Hermon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. In the 13thth minute of the game Hector Tajo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rosario Central's Eduardo Txindoki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Raul Claus kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Hector Tajo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Txindoki having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Hector Tajo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Txindoki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Les Eclaireurs's Raul Claus got a free kick in the 35th minute. Juan Hermon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Joanes in the 37th minute of play. After 40 played minutes Les Eclaireurs got a freekick which was hit by Abel Urtungo. Rosario Central's Eloy Hug couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 41st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Les Eclaireurs. Serafino Faro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Hermon having to make a save. In the 47th play minute Serafino Faro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Juan Hermon. 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardino Joanes to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Bernardino Joanes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Hermon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hector Abadia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Eduardo Txindoki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hector Tajo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hector Tajo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Txindoki having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Hector Tajo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Les Eclaireurs's supporters rose to their feet, but Hector Tajo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Txindoki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Bernardino Joanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Bernardino Joanes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rosario Central fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Abel Urtungo hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. A well-hit corner resulted in Artemio Ramos heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Serafino Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Hermon having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Les Eclaireurs's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Joanes came free, but Juan Hermon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Lehior's late challenge caught a Rosario Central's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernesto Lehior helped the player get up and apologised. Ernesto Lehior hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Bernardino Joanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rosario Central had won after a very even match.
