Melquiades Ebardo came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Vinalito AFC's Roque Orlin. But to his dismay, Roque Orlin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Roque Orlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 played minutes Cachiyuyo got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Lop. In the 36th minute of the match Aldo Haimar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Melquiades Ebardo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Roque Orlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pascual Lamberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Fidensio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Vinalito AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lorenzo Mikeldi was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Roque Orlin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lorenzo Mikeldi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melquiades Ebardo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Roque Orlin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Melquiades Ebardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliseo Fidensio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
