Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Artemio Balesio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliseo Fidensio got in the 57th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Omar Cordero handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Ernesto Hitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Melquiades Ebardo made a huge save.
