But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baltasar George couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Herminio Etxahun was the one to do the kick off. When Baltasar George came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Martillo Hammer United fans jumped to their feet. Pascual Lamberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltasar George, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Prudencio Evangelista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vinalito AFC's Pascual Lamberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosio Sal in the 71st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baltasar George during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 72 played minutes Martillo Hammer United got a freekick which was hit by Baltasar George. Lorenzo Mikeldi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Turi having to interfere. If Prudencio Evangelista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lorenzo Mikeldi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Arturo Turi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Martillo Hammer United's Arturo Turi got control of the ball when Roque Orlin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Baltasar George fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascual Lamberto having to interfere. Efrain Gabon struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Pascual Lamberto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Martillo Hammer United. In the 94th minute, Vinalito AFC's Lorenzo Mikeldi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2.
