Spectators: 7100 (Terracing: 5325, Seating: 1633, VIP seats: 142) Aldo Duarte took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pascual Lamberto. Vinalito AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Rosendo Sanchez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Pascual Lamberto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Lorenzo Mikeldi came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Vinalito AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lorenzo Mikeldi couldn't finish the play. Necochea AFC's Rosendo Sanchez got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Vinalito AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Mannie came free, but Pascual Lamberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Necochea AFC's zone, Roque Orlin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Madeo came out of the goal and Roque Orlin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lorenzo Mikeldi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Melquiades Madeo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Mikeldi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rosendo Sanchez might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pascual Lamberto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rosendo Sanchez ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Necochea AFC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Aldo Duarte hit a great ball. 45 minutes in the game, Lorenzo Mikeldi dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After the first half Necochea AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lorenzo Mikeldi was the one to do the kick off. Necochea AFC's Melquiades Madeo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Mikeldi in the 51st minute of play. Aldo Haimar's late challenge caught a Necochea AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aldo Haimar helped the player get up and apologised. Astor Bernaldo shot the penalty kick right outside the post. When Necochea AFC's Rosendo Sanchez in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vinalito AFC's goalie prevented a goal. When Paulino Mannie came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Necochea AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulino Mannie couldn't finish the play. Leonel Leobardo kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The supporters of Necochea AFC booed when Vinalito AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Leobardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rosendo Sanchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascual Lamberto having to interfere. After having played for 72 minutes, Lorenzo Mikeldi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vinalito AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lorenzo Mikeldi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rosendo Sanchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roque Orlin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Necochea AFC's Cecilio Patxi got a free kick in the 78th minute. Lorenzo Mikeldi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Melquiades Madeo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Vinalito AFC's Claudio Flores got a free kick in the 85th minute. Rosendo Sanchez took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pascual Lamberto. Pascual Lamberto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Paulino Mannie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Necochea AFC's Rosendo Sanchez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pascual Lamberto. That made the score 0-3 after 97 minutes of play. The Necochea AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Necochea AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
