In the 11th minute of the match Marayes got a corner. Represita's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tiburcio Ilazki ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tiburcio Ilazki made a great header on Marayes's corner, it was just that Represita's Silvano Urtsua managed to reach the ball for a save. Silvano Urtsua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Fonso in the 14th minute of the match. Florencio Indartsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Silvano Urtsua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Represita's goalkeeper Silvano Urtsua, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Represita's Silvano Urtsua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Indartsu in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Marayes were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pastor Belo to make the kick off. Benicio Bixintxo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelino Ovando in the 54th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Represita were victorious despite being under pressure from Marayes for much of the match.
