In the 20th minute Benicio Perutxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santo Seber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Perez having to interfere. Cristobal Nafarroa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godofredo Donzel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Amadeo Brais made the kick off in the second half. When Ildefonso Asteri fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Lesionados's protests and gave Ildefonso Asteri a yellow card for diving instead. Godofredo Donzel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Santo Seber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Los Lesionados supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Los Lesionados would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
