The crowd rose to their feet as Paisanos's Mauro Abadia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ramon Etxahun. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. In the 7th minute, Ladislao Orlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 10 minutes, Rafael Atarratze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Gacela FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Atarratze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Justo Sustrai struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Gogo Saturnin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Gacela FC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angel Santana during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Paisanos getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Angel Santana hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justo Sustrai in the 14th minute of play forced Paisanos's goalkeeper Gogo Saturnin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 played minutes La Gacela FC got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Umbruso. 19 minutes into the match, Paisanos's Silvio Patrido sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramon Etxahun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute Silvio Patrido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Etxahun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Gacela FC's Ramon Etxahun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save La Gacela FC from getting a goal against them. Ramon Etxahun didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 25th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Silvio Patrido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ramon Etxahun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gogo Saturnin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rafael Atarratze went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Paisanos's Angel Santana got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mauro Abadia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Ramon Etxahun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 56 minutes, Daniel Estebe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Gacela FC and the Paisanos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Daniel Estebe hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute Mauro Abadia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Etxahun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Justo Sustrai could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Gogo Saturnin however easily saved by the left post. 68 minutes into the match, Paisanos's goalkeeper Gogo Saturnin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Justo Sustrai. With a little luck, Paisanos's Gogo Saturnin got control of the ball when Justo Sustrai tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Estebe got his second yellow card in the match during the 76th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to La Gacela FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Daniel Estebe hit a great ball. After some careless play in the La Gacela FC defense, Mauro Abadia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramon Etxahun. The La Gacela FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramon Etxahun should have stopped the shot. Mauro Abadia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Etxahun having to interfere. Ramon Etxahun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvio Patrido in the 85th minute of the match. Paisanos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
