Club Nacional de Futbol's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jesus Rios ran over to the corner to take the kick. Paisa FC's Jesus Rios managed to work through Club Nacional de Futbol's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Jesus Rios dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The Paisa FC fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Paisa FC's Jesus Rios looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Bernabe Ganix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesus Rios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Rios in the 36th minute of play forced Club Nacional de Futbol's goalkeeper Bernabe Ganix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rigoberto Savion recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jesus Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabe Ganix having to interfere. Evelio Erdiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 47th play minutes Jesus Rios shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Bernabe Ganix and just under the crossbar into goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jesus Rios was the one to do the kick off. Bernabe Ganix came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Paisa FC's Jesus Rios. But to his dismay, Jesus Rios quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 65 minutes into the game, Jesus Rios lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Bernabe Ganix. In the 67th minute, Jesus Rios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jesus Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabe Ganix having to interfere. Matias Haritzeder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Jaunti, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 83 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Savion cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Bernabe Ganix was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Jesus Rios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Jesus Rios's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernabe Ganix was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. Paisa FC played a much better game than Club Nacional de Futbol and deserved their victory. The Club Nacional de Futbol players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
