The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Herminio Oso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Salvador Michael fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Juventud Unida's protests and gave Salvador Michael a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Instituto booed when Juventud Unida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Michael didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute, Instituto's Herminio Oso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonas Abeitia. Severino Pirro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celestino Loren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Herminio Oso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonas Abeitia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Pedro Alvarez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Herminio Oso might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonas Abeitia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Herminio Oso ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Instituto had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
