In the 7th minute, Elias Diaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ubaldo Furtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 15 played minutes Juventud Unida got a freekick which was hit by Igor Fernandez. With a little luck, Juventud Unida's Jonas Abeitia got control of the ball when Ubaldo Furtado tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Severino Pirro came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Juventud Unida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Pirro couldn't finish the play. When Saverio Egoitz fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malvinas's protests and gave Saverio Egoitz a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes Malvinas got a freekick which was hit by Saverio Egoitz. In the 24th minute Juventud Unida were awarded a corner. Jairo Erroman went to the cornerflag to take it. During the 26th minute of the match Saverio Egoitz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Saverio Egoitz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 27 played minutes Malvinas got a freekick which was hit by Saverio Egoitz. The Juventud Unida fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Juventud Unida's Elias Suarez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Juventud Unida's Elias Suarez got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Malvinas's zone, Elias Suarez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Tipi came out of the goal and Elias Suarez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ubaldo Furtado to strike the kick off in the second half. Severino Pirro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Gabriel Tipi made a huge save. After 54 minutes, Elias Diaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malvinas and the Juventud Unida players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Malvinas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Diaz to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Severino Pirro made a precise shot to the right of Gabriel Tipi. Malvinas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Anastasio Frichoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Abeitia having to interfere. Ubaldo Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Jonas Abeitia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melquiades Milio struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Jonas Abeitia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malvinas.
