Spectators: 7208 (Terracing: 5509, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 10) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Adan Rivas kicked off to start the match. Independiente's Candido Hulberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Peruxu in the 5th minute of play. Fabian Gaitan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florencio Gurutz in the 7th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Oton came free, but Candido Hulberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Enrique Peruxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute, Joaquin Tiadoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Independiente booed when Villa Pueyrredón FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Peruxu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrique Peruxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candido Hulberto having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Independiente's zone, Enrique Peruxu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Candido Hulberto came out of the goal and Enrique Peruxu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 30 minutes into the game, when Angelino Banegas put in a rough tackle. Fabian Gaitan went to the wrong direction when Clodoveo Azibar was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 32nd minute, Urbano Cisco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34th play minutes Angel Oton shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Candido Hulberto and just under the crossbar into goal. If Angel Oton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victoriano Arlo's late challenge caught a Independiente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victoriano Arlo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Villa Pueyrredón FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Victoriano Arlo hit a great ball. In the 47th minute of the match, Moises Gau tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Candido Hulberto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Fabian Gaitan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Gurutz, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The audience was convinced that Angel Oton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Candido Hulberto was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Candido Hulberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angel Oton, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Independiente's goalkeeper Candido Hulberto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 59 minutes of play, Villa Pueyrredón FC's Angel Oton made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Candido Hulberto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Moises Gau might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Candido Hulberto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moises Gau ran back to his position shaking his head. Adan Rivas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Moises Gau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Candido Hulberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Oton in the 72nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ismael Jerrold during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Villa Pueyrredón FC! Independiente's Candido Hulberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Gau in the 80th minute of play. Florencio Gurutz charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Florencio Gurutz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Florencio Gurutz. Angel Oton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Candido Hulberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Enrique Peruxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Enrique Peruxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Villa Pueyrredón FC's Moises Gau got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Peruxu came free, but Candido Hulberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Candido Hulberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Oton in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 98thth minute of the game Angel Oton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independiente's Candido Hulberto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee ended the match the Villa Pueyrredón FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
