After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Paulo Rolado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pueblito's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Rolado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Candido Hulberto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Adan Rivas came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adan Rivas couldn't finish the play. Victorino Elia hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Adan Rivas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Eyague having to interfere.
