Moreto Futbol Club's Eriberto Inko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Rivas in the 46th minute of play. When the match clock showed 49 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Fidel Dorio sped through Moreto Futbol Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eriberto Inko. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The tension between the Moreto Futbol Club and the Independiente players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Independiente booed when Moreto Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Admon didn't get a good kick on the ball.
