Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo Bazil in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santiago Mero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelo Berto made a kick off. Oscar Mouricio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Berto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute Angelo Berto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Mouricio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Santiago Lluc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santiago Lluc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelo Berto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Mouricio having to interfere. When Ubaldo Gonsalvo fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Talleres de Cordoba's protests and gave Ubaldo Gonsalvo a yellow card for diving instead. After 68 played minutes Talleres de Cordoba got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Gonsalvo. Santiago Mero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Bazil in the 73rd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Oscar Mouricio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Albino Santikurtz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santiago Lluc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oscar Mouricio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Talleres de Cordoba fans cheered their team off the field, for while La Dolfina had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
