Ulises Aznaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clodoveo Egun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goalkeeper Desiderio Madaleno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ayman Abdul Baqi. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ayman Abdul Baqi got free with Desiderio Madaleno in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Humberto Gudesteo's late challenge caught a Racing Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Humberto Gudesteo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute, Humberto Gudesteo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusebio Abalos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Desiderio Madaleno came out and tried to block the shot, but Eusebio Abalos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. Ulises Aznaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Jakue in the 21st minute of the match. Desiderio Madaleno was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eusebio Abalos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. If Evaristo Orlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusebio Abalos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Racing Club's Desiderio Madaleno got control of the ball when Evaristo Orlan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edgardo Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ulises Aznaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ayman Abdul Baqi kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Eusebio Abalos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desiderio Madaleno having to interfere.

Desiderio Madaleno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evaristo Orlan went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Evaristo Orlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Desiderio Madaleno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusebio Abalos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Desiderio Madaleno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Gamus, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. If Evaristo Orlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Clodoveo Egun took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulises Aznaro. Ulises Aznaro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Clodoveo Egun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Ulises Aznaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belgrano's Evaristo Orlan got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Lorenzo Jakue got a free kick in the 78th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Gilberto Quilo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belgrano's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilberto Quilo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Desiderio Madaleno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Evaristo Orlan struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Desiderio Madaleno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgrano. In the 85thth minute of the game Eusebio Abalos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club's Desiderio Madaleno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 88th minute Evaristo Orlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desiderio Madaleno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 89 minutes, Baltasar Guter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing Club and the Belgrano players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 89 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Baltasar Guter. When Evaristo Orlan came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Belgrano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evaristo Orlan couldn't finish the play.
