Desiderio Madaleno didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 11th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Hermengildo Jaunzuria made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 21stth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Desiderio Madaleno would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Desiderio Madaleno stood somewhat misplaced when Anibal Guillerme came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 22 minute. 27 minutes into the game, Anibal Guillerme recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Desiderio Madaleno. Anibal Guillerme showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. With a little luck, Racing Club's Desiderio Madaleno got control of the ball when Hermengildo Jaunzuria tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anibal Guillerme was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Edgardo Garcia made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético River Plate's zone, Clodoveo Egun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erubiel Oxel came out of the goal and Clodoveo Egun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute of the match, Clodoveo Egun got a very nice opportunity to score, but Erubiel Oxel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Emanuel Cerilo kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético River Plate's zone, Edgardo Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erubiel Oxel came out of the goal and Edgardo Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edgardo Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st play minute Clodoveo Egun came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Erubiel Oxel. 3-1. In the 74th match minute, Club Atlético River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clodoveo Gaizko to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Garcia in the 75th minute of play forced Club Atlético River Plate's goalkeeper Erubiel Oxel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erubiel Oxel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Garcia in the 78th minute of the match. Edgardo Garcia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erubiel Oxel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. If Clodoveo Egun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Desiderio Madaleno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Guillerme in the 97th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Racing Club players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Atlético River Plate.
