Spectators: 7240 (Terracing: 5432, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) Octavio Distiratsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Normando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvano Urtsua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Distiratsu having to interfere. Gustavo Fagondo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Oliverios in the 15th minute of play forced Palomas's goalkeeper Gustavo Karmel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Artemio Loren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palomas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atletico Varela the free kick. After a rather tough play, Palomas's Artemio Loren got a free kick in the 15th minute. Gustavo Fagondo struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Gustavo Karmel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletico Varela. In the 22nd minute, Gabriel Egun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Fagondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Gustavo Karmel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Adrian Normando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. In the 42nd minute, Adrian Normando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adrian Normando's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Octavio Distiratsu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Arnaldo Bittor charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnaldo Bittor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. It was Natalio Nastasio who took care of the corner kick. Baldomiro Uhin tried in the 49th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Octavio Distiratsu a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domingo Oliverios to make the kick off. Palomas's Aquilino Honrio suffered a concussion after 55 minutes and had to leave the field. Benedicto Estebano charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benedicto Estebano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Benedicto Estebano kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. If Domingo Oliverios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Silvano Urtsua ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Octavio Distiratsu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Palomas's Gustavo Karmel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Oliverios in the 75th minute of play. If Gustavo Fagondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domingo Oliverios did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-1 to the left of a surprised Gustavo Karmel 82 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Atletico Varela's Domingo Oliverios slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gustavo Karmel. That made the score 3-2 after 88 minutes of play. In the 92nd minute, Arnaldo Bittor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Silvano Urtsua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Palomas's Artemio Loren got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Atletico Varela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Palomas.
