Erubiel Oxel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Clodoveo Gaizko charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clodoveo Gaizko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 24 played minutes Club Atlético River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Gaizko. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético River Plate's Clodoveo Gaizko got a free kick in the 26th minute. Armando Esdras took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Erubiel Oxel. Hermengildo Jaunzuria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Oto having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Club Atlético River Plate's Hermengildo Jaunzuria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicasio Oto narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
