Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gimnasia's Nunez Avellaneda started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gimnasia's Jesus Vincent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Chayo in the 5th minute of play. Hipolito Muc scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Remigio Mateus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Nunez Avellaneda took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Remigio Mateus to make any attempt to save it. In the 21st minute, Benicio Fagondo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jesus Vincent was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. When Venancio Tipi fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gimnasia's protests and gave Venancio Tipi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th match minute, Gimnasia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Tipi to maneuver through the defense. Jesus Vincent didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sebastian Chayo went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 40th minute, Sebastian Chayo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ubaldo Thomas kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Martin Lizar charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Lizar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, Martin Lizar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Remigio Mateus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hipolito Muc in the 57th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Miami Heat's zone, Primitivo Senon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remigio Mateus came out of the goal and Primitivo Senon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Hipolito Muc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remigio Mateus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hipolito Muc, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The supporters of Miami Heat booed when Gimnasia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natalio Orlo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Chayo got free with Jesus Vincent in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastian Chayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Jesus Vincent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venancio Tipi made in the 85th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Primitivo Senon however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hipolito Muc in the 87th minute of play forced Miami Heat's goalkeeper Remigio Mateus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primitivo Senon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute, Gimnasia's Ubaldo Thomas seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ubaldo Thomas the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gimnasia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ubaldo Thomas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 96 minutes into the game, Adan Flores recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jesus Vincent. Adan Flores showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. When the final whistle sounded Miami Heat left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gimnasia.
