Spectators: 6683 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 0) Belgrano's Evaristo Orlan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Ayman Abdul Baqi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Distiratsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusebio Abalos struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Octavio Distiratsu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgrano. If Gabriel Egun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute, Evaristo Orlan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgrano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Octavio Distiratsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Abalos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belgrano's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Arnaldo Bittor scored to the left of an out of position Ulises Aznaro, making the score, 1-1. Octavio Distiratsu came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Belgrano's Ayman Abdul Baqi. But to his dismay, Ayman Abdul Baqi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Atletico Varela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Belgrano:s goal. In the 30th minute there was a penalty for Belgrano. Evaristo Orlan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Octavio Distiratsu. 1-3. Octavio Distiratsu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Orlan in the 36th minute of play. Atletico Varela's Octavio Distiratsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Orlan in the 40th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusebio Abalos in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octavio Distiratsu saved Atletico Varela from getting behind. 43 minutes into the match, Atletico Varela's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Orlan came free, but Octavio Distiratsu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Eusebio Abalos made a precise shot to the right of Octavio Distiratsu. Atletico Varela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. The Atletico Varela players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Belgrano were winning 1-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Domingo Oliverios made a kick off. The supporters of Atletico Varela booed when Belgrano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Gudesteo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th match minute, Belgrano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Gamus to maneuver through the defense. Octavio Distiratsu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Abalos in the 62nd minute of the match. Octavio Distiratsu was a little too slow when Eusebio Abalos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 1-5. Octavio Distiratsu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 72nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-6. 76 minutes into the game, Ayman Abdul Baqi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Belgrano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atletico Varela the free kick. A collision led to Belgrano getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Ayman Abdul Baqi hit a great ball. Octavio Distiratsu had great luck who in the 78thth minute grab hold of the ball when Eusebio Abalos from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Genaro Regis charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Genaro Regis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Varela's zone, Evaristo Orlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Distiratsu came out of the goal and Evaristo Orlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atletico Varela's Octavio Distiratsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Abalos in the 86th minute of play. Octavio Distiratsu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 88th minute, which inside left pole to 1-7. Evaristo Orlan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Octavio Distiratsu made a huge save. Octavio Distiratsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Abalos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Evaristo Orlan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belgrano's supporters rose to their feet, but Evaristo Orlan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavio Distiratsu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 101 minutes, Gilberto Quilo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Belgrano and the Atletico Varela players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Atletico Varela fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Belgrano were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
