Palomas's Gustavo Karmel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anibal Guillerme in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Palomas's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Jaunzuria came free, but Gustavo Karmel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustavo Karmel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anibal Guillerme in the 16th minute of the match. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palomas's goalkeeper Gustavo Karmel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andres Montez hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Adrian Normando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erubiel Oxel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvano Urtsua in the 28th minute. Erubiel Oxel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Normando, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When Clodoveo Gaizko fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético River Plate's protests and gave Clodoveo Gaizko a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th match minute, Club Atlético River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clodoveo Gaizko to maneuver through the defense. When Silvano Urtsua came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Palomas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvano Urtsua couldn't finish the play. Artemio Loren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Erubiel Oxel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvano Urtsua got free with Erubiel Oxel in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gustavo Karmel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anibal Guillerme, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anibal Guillerme to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Palomas's goal looked a bit too open when Anibal Guillerme came free, but Gustavo Karmel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvano Urtsua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 67 played minutes Palomas got a freekick which was hit by Angel Platon. After a defensive mix-up in Palomas's zone, Anibal Guillerme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Karmel came out of the goal and Anibal Guillerme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 73 minutes into the match, Club Atlético River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Normando came free, but Erubiel Oxel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Palomas's Silvano Urtsua sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erubiel Oxel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Artemio Loren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hermengildo Jaunzuria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Gustavo Karmel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvano Urtsua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erubiel Oxel having to interfere. When Angel Platon fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palomas's protests and gave Angel Platon a yellow card for diving instead. Angel Platon kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Palomas's goalkeeper Gustavo Karmel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermengildo Jaunzuria. Anibal Guillerme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anibal Guillerme was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 95th minute. Club Atlético River Plate's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
