After 21 played minutes, corrientes juniors's Gaspar Gerazan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Colon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in corrientes juniors reached it. Augusto Roderigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramiro Isias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Augusto Roderigo's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Benito Colon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serafin Iraido in the 31st minute. In the 34th minute, Augusto Roderigo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramiro Isias was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Anibal Rio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augusto Roderigo to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Augusto Roderigo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pelicurá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Roderigo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gerardo Petrigai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ramiro Isias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 played minutes corrientes juniors got a freekick which was hit by Dalmacio Pero. Augusto Roderigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Isias having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, corrientes juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Roderigo came free, but Ramiro Isias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pelicurá's Anibal Rio got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Serafin Iraido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anibal Rio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Isias having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Ignacio Ikatz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Pelicurá's Gerardo Petrigai got a free kick in the 85th minute. Benito Colon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafin Iraido, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Pelicurá's Anibal Rio got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Pelicurá could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than corrientes juniors throughout the match.
