When Igor Ritchie came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the RIVER fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Ritchie couldn't finish the play. Bruno Osasun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Lizardi kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Conrado Barros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paolo Quinton. Ben-Hur de Rafaela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cosme Llope didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Justo Urre went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Igor Ritchie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Paolo Quinton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Ben-Hur de Rafaela got a freekick which was hit by Santos Cordarrel. Jose Pirro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jose Pirro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Paolo Quinton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute Igor Ritchie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paolo Quinton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Eleuterio Blasi struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Cosme Llope didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ben-Hur de Rafaela. A collision led to RIVER getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Primitivo Xabel hit a great ball. After 62 minutes, Igor Ritchie made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ben-Hur de Rafaela's Paolo Quinton tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Paolo Quinton didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 69th minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. Cosme Llope showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justo Urre in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75th minute Justo Urre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Llope saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
