Cipriano Mero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Dacio in the 24th minute of play. Guillermo Colas made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Abelardo Adrio sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, C. A. GüEMES's Pastor Bela got a free kick in the 30th minute. Cipriano Mero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernan Estavan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Froilan Tauro fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. GüEMES's protests and gave Froilan Tauro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th minute, Froilan Tauro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernan Estavan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Mero having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Fernan Estavan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

GüEMES's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Fernan Estavan scored to the left of an out of position Cipriano Mero, making the score, 0-1. After having played for 81 minutes, Abelardo Adrio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C. A. GüEMES's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Adrio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernan Estavan in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cipriano Mero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. TELEFONICO's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
