Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Eugenio Curcio made the kick off and thus started the match. Anier Oroitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Curcio in the 6th minute of the match. When Victoriano Otsoa got free in front of the goal in the 14th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ignacio Vigil was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Eugenio Curcio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Anier Oroitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Golden Star F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Curcio came free, but Anier Oroitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Golden Star F.C.'s Hugo Mikolas got a free kick in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Hernan Brun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Golden Star F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Melo the free kick. In the 19th match minute, Golden Star F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Brun to maneuver through the defense. After 19 played minutes, Melo's Geronimo Bero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anier Oroitz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Melo reached it. Eugenio Curcio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anier Oroitz came out and tried to block the shot, but Eugenio Curcio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 22nd minute. Ignacio Vigil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victoriano Otsoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denis Venceslas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anier Oroitz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Eugenio Curcio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugenio Curcio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saul Lartaun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Ignacio Vigil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugenio Curcio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Oroitz having to interfere. Hugo Mikolas's late challenge caught a Melo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Mikolas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Melo booed when Golden Star F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Mikolas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Melo's zone, Saul Lartaun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignacio Vigil came out of the goal and Saul Lartaun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victoriano Otsoa made a kick off. If Denis Venceslas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rdth minute of the game Denis Venceslas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Golden Star F.C.'s Anier Oroitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Augusto Sal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anier Oroitz having to make a save. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Golden Star F.C.'s goalkeeper Anier Oroitz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ignacio Vigil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Otsoa in the 78th minute of play. After having played for 79 minutes, Saul Lartaun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golden Star F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Saul Lartaun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Golden Star F.C.'s Hugo Mikolas got his second yellow card of the match in the 92nd minute. The referee ordered Hugo Mikolas off the ground. In the 94th minute of the match Geronimo Bero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anier Oroitz skillfully saved the ball.
