Ignacio Vigil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Justo Urre in the 17th minute. After some careless play in the Ben-Hur de Rafaela defense, Eugenio Curcio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paolo Quinton. The Ben-Hur de Rafaela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paolo Quinton should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Ben-Hur de Rafaela's zone, Eugenio Curcio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paolo Quinton came out of the goal and Eugenio Curcio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24thth minute of the game Denis Venceslas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ben-Hur de Rafaela's Paolo Quinton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Denis Venceslas came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Melo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Venceslas couldn't finish the play. 37 minutes into the game, Eugenio Curcio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. With a little luck, Ben-Hur de Rafaela's Paolo Quinton got control of the ball when Denis Venceslas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Denis Venceslas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augusto Sal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Melo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
