Timoteo Jacob made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Mattin in the 11th minute of play. The supporters of Triperos Futbol Club booed when Club Atlético Pernetas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Club Atlético Pernetas's Aldo Casado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Roano in the 38th minute of play. Timoteo Jacob took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Mattin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Triperos Futbol Club's Leonardo Roano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aldo Casado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonardo Roano to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Pernetas's zone, Bernabe Claude stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldo Casado came out of the goal and Bernabe Claude tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 59 minutes, Bernabe Claude managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Triperos Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernabe Claude was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aldo Casado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Roano in the 68th minute of the match. Timoteo Jacob was a little too slow when Santos Eduino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-1. Clemente Mattin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeronimo Bartolome's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Pernetas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeronimo Bartolome helped the player get up and apologised. After 80 played minutes Triperos Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Jeronimo Bartolome. Leonardo Roano might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aldo Casado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonardo Roano ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernabe Claude in the 96th minute of play forced Club Atlético Pernetas's goalkeeper Aldo Casado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
