Leonardo Roano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Montel having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Camilo Jerrald stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luis Chuse kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Timoteo Jacob made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Ereinotz in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Bastia in the 57th minute of play forced Triperos Futbol Club's goalkeeper Timoteo Jacob to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Triperos Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Bastia came free, but Timoteo Jacob reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th match minute, Triperos Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Maria to maneuver through the defense. Eloy Heriberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camilo Jerrald's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Timoteo Jacob read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play.
