Volcán's Generoso Duardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Honesto in the 44th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Generoso Duardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Godoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pablo Honesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leandro Godoy in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Generoso Duardo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 59th minute Pablo Honesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Duardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 played minutes Tilcara AFC got a freekick which was hit by Melchor Gumaro. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Baleren got free with Mauro Quexal in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In a very dangerous position, a player in Volcán fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! Urbano Estevez walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Volcán's Generoso Duardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Honesto in the 75th minute of play. Volcán's Lorenzo Hori got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Aquilino Fero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Francisco Baleren came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Volcán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Baleren couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute, Volcán's Lorenzo Hori dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. After a rather tough play, Volcán's Lorenzo Venerando got a free kick in the 90th minute. Pablo Honesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Generoso Duardo having to interfere. If Leandro Godoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Volcán walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
