The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hermengildo Cucao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Tilcara AFC's Mauro Quexal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Tilcara AFC from getting a goal against them. Benito Meder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Honesto in the 16th minute of play. Hermengildo Cucao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Mauro Quexal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Calilegua's Ermegildo Noe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mauro Quexal. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. In the 22nd minute, Melchor Gumaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute, Calilegua's Jonathan Faro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Tilcara AFC's Mauro Quexal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteve Oxarra in the 34th minute of play. Esteve Oxarra was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 35th minute. Calilegua's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 38 minutes into the match, Calilegua's Aristides Cucao broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 41st minute Esteve Oxarra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Quexal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Meder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Godoy in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Esteve Oxarra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calilegua's supporters rose to their feet, but Esteve Oxarra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauro Quexal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Esteve Oxarra made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Calilegua were awarded a corner. Aristides Cucao went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Calilegua's Jonathan Faro got a free kick in the 57th minute. The supporters of Calilegua booed when Tilcara AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Honesto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteve Oxarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Quexal having to interfere. Mauro Quexal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteve Oxarra in the 72nd minute of the match. A collision led to Calilegua getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Jonathan Faro hit a great ball. Mauro Quexal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Cucao, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Jesus Valente charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jesus Valente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 92nd match minute, Tilcara AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Valente to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute Hermengildo Cucao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Quexal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 95 minutes, Esteve Oxarra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calilegua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esteve Oxarra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Calilegua's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
