After 6 played minutes Escalante got a freekick which was hit by Justo Quintan. Isidoro Dunixi charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidoro Dunixi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th minute, Isidoro Dunixi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute of the match Aureliano Ordono sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vinicio Furtado skillfully saved the ball. Justo Quintans short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Leo Gimenez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vinicio Furtado came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Corolina's Marcelino Atarratze. But to his dismay, Marcelino Atarratze quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Justo Quintan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Escalante's Damaso Aguilera got a free kick in the 29th minute. Marcelino Atarratze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Vinicio Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Justo Quintan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Justo Quintan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isidoro Dunixi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Gimenez having to interfere. The Escalante players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Corolina were winning 0-1.
The wind increased when Marcelino Atarratze made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Joaquin Resto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Escalante's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corolina the free kick. Joaquin Resto hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Damaso Aguilera hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After having played for 63 minutes, Isidoro Dunixi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escalante's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Dunixi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leo Gimenez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justo Quintan in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Corolina's goalkeeper Leo Gimenez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Justo Quintan might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leo Gimenez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Justo Quintan ran back to his position shaking his head. When Isidoro Dunixi came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Escalante fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Dunixi couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Dunixi in the 92nd minute of play forced Corolina's goalkeeper Leo Gimenez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isidoro Dunixi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Gimenez having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justo Quintan in the 95th minute of play forced Corolina's goalkeeper Leo Gimenez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isidoro Dunixi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Despite being the better team, Escalante failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
