Hermengildo Cucao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Abad having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Hermengildo Cucao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calilegua's supporters rose to their feet, but Hermengildo Cucao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geronimo Abad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hermengildo Cucao struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Geronimo Abad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calilegua. After a defensive mix-up in La Pluma's zone, Esteve Oxarra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geronimo Abad came out of the goal and Esteve Oxarra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Esteve Oxarra was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 41st minute. Calilegua's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 46th minute, Esteve Oxarra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Calilegua fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Hermengildo Cucao hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Geronimo Abad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteve Oxarra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermengildo Cucao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geronimo Abad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteve Oxarra in the 58th minute of play. Esteve Oxarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Abad having to interfere. Esteve Oxarra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hermengildo Cucao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Geronimo Abad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hermengildo Cucao in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geronimo Abad prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute, Jonathan Faro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd match minute, Calilegua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermegildo Noe to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Silvano Nayely left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Pluma fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Esteve Oxarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esteve Oxarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Calilegua were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing La Pluma to leave the ground with a draw.
