Emanuel Ferdinand kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Ernesto Vimaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cervantes's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Vimaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignacio Bernebe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Lopez in the 15th minute of play forced Saavedra's goalkeeper Ignacio Bernebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 played minutes Simon Lopez rounded Saavedra's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Saavedra's Gerardo Remigio got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Ernesto Vimaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot by Higinio Pereyra from long distance, 25 minutes into the match, got Ignacio Bernebe's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, Saavedra's Eliseo Bernebe got a free kick in the 26th minute. If Emanuel Ferdinand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignacio Bernebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Lopez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerardo Remigio was the one to do the kick off. Jonas Ikatz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 54 minutes into the match, Bartolo Teyo notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Saavedra's Ignacio Bernebe. Ignacio Bernebe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Cervantes getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. When Bartolo Teyo came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Cervantes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bartolo Teyo couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Cervantes booed when Saavedra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Bernebe didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ernesto Vimaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simon Lopez struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Ignacio Bernebe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cervantes. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cervantes had won after a very even match.
