In the 59th minute Prospero Frederico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Chus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismael Chus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prospero Frederico in the 65th minute of the match. If Serafino Vincent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 minutes, Sebastian Chago mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Mandiyu and the Saavedra players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Aristides Oihenarte fell near the penalty area in the 99th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Mandiyu's protests and gave Aristides Oihenarte a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Deportivo Mandiyu getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Aristides Oihenarte hit a great ball. Despite being the better team, Deportivo Mandiyu failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
