Mario Orlanda was extremely unlucky when he, in the 20th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Orlanda got free with Ignacio Bernebe in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rafael Gonzales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Bernebe having to interfere. After having played for 28 minutes, Mario Orlanda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saiko Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Orlanda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Mario Orlanda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saiko Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Mario Orlanda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignacio Bernebe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Rafael Gonzales, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 32 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ignacio Bernebe was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Mario Orlanda took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ignacio Bernebe. Ignacio Bernebe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Remigio in the 46th minute of play forced Saiko Team's goalkeeper Roque Elorri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rafael Gonzales to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Eliseo Bernebe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saavedra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saiko Team the free kick. After a rather tough play, Saavedra's Eliseo Bernebe got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Saiko Team's Mario Orlanda got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Prospero Frederico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Roque Elorri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Saavedra defense, Mario Orlanda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ignacio Bernebe. The Saavedra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ignacio Bernebe should have stopped the shot. Rafael Gonzales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Bernebe having to interfere. 81 minutes in the game, Rafael Gonzales dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 85th minute Rafael Gonzales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Bernebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Orlanda in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ignacio Bernebe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Saavedra defense, Mario Orlanda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ignacio Bernebe. The Saavedra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ignacio Bernebe should have stopped the shot. In the 90th match minute, Saiko Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Eron to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Saiko Team fully deserved thier win.
