Placido Lehoi's late challenge caught a Clan FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Placido Lehoi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th match minute, Atlético Grüttly was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Placido Lehoi to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Clan FC booed when Atlético Grüttly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Taurino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético Grüttly's goalkeeper Cleto Orixe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Honorio Haitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rolando Peruxu hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute Severiano Balasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Orixe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Clan FC's Julio Velasco got control of the ball when Hermengildo Harkaitz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabricio Olivar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Velasco having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Aureliano Abeijon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clan FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Placido Lehoi scored to the left of an out of position Julio Velasco, making the score, 1-0. Cleto Orixe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Haitz in the 38th minute of play. If Honorio Haitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Manuel Geofredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atlético Grüttly's Manuel Geofredo got his second yellow card of the match in the 47th minute. The referee ordered Manuel Geofredo off the ground. After a rather tough play, Atlético Grüttly's Manuel Geofredo got a free kick in the 48th minute. In the 49th minute, Teofilo Millan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Atlético Grüttly's Cleto Orixe didn't even have to move. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Honorio Haitz was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Atlético Grüttly's Hermengildo Harkaitz got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the game, one of Atlético Grüttly:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Clan FC a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Teofilo Millan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlético Grüttly's Cleto Orixe. 1-1. After having played for 60 minutes, Severiano Balasi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clan FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severiano Balasi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabricio Olivar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 69th minute, Fabricio Olivar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Grüttly fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After 72 minutes, Honorio Haitz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clan FC and the Atlético Grüttly players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th minute, Placido Lehoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Delmar Silbestre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cleto Orixe made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Severiano Balasi sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute, Fabricio Olivar made a precise shot to the right of Julio Velasco. Clan FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Clan FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
