Tabaquillo FC's Cecilio Gonzales got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 5 minutes into the game, Anier Valiente was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tabaquillo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ricardo FC the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Gonzales in the 8th minute of play forced Ricardo FC's goalkeeper Humberto Arlo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delmar Isusko in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Olayo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes into the match, Ricardo FC's Godfredo Mikeldi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Olayo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Ricardo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cecilio Gonzales came free, but Humberto Arlo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th match minute, Tabaquillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Jenaro to maneuver through the defense. If Cecilio Gonzales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Delmar Isusko came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Ricardo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Delmar Isusko couldn't finish the play. Humberto Arlo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilano Chesus in the 41st minute of the match. Godfredo Mikeldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Delmar Isusko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Marco Rainerio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 59th match minute, Tabaquillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Jenaro to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the match, Ricardo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cecilio Gonzales came free, but Humberto Arlo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ovidio Fernendo fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tabaquillo FC's protests and gave Ovidio Fernendo a yellow card for diving instead. After 75 played minutes Tabaquillo FC got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Fernendo. 76 minutes into the match, Tabaquillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Godfredo Mikeldi came free, but Joel Olayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atilano Chesus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Humberto Arlo having to make a save. After 83 minutes, Igor Jenaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tabaquillo FC and the Ricardo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Godfredo Mikeldi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Olayo having to interfere. Delmar Isusko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Olayo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Tabaquillo FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
