The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Justo Fonso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Higinio Cristofor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salinas's Higinio Cristofor got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Arturo Eliu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Higinio Cristofor's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Justo Fonso firmly grabbed it by the left post. Justo Fonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Quintyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Salinas booed when La Armonía was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermegildo Dorio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Higinio Cristofors short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Justo Fonso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ismael Quintyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Fonso having to interfere. La Armonía's Justo Fonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Quintyn in the 49th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After 74 minutes of play La Armonía's Ermegildo Dorio was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Robustiano Velasco, 75 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patricio Playo got free with Cristobal Uhin in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 93 minutes into the match, Salinas's Ismael Quintyn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Justo Fonso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Ismael Quintyn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Salinas walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
