Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the game, Instituto Atlético C.C's Clodoveo Totakoxe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pitin Fresnedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 7th play minutes Clodoveo Totakoxe shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Pitin Fresnedo and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 11th minute, Instituto Atlético C.C's Felix Nuno seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Felix Nuno the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Instituto Atlético C.C protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Felix Nuno had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Instituto Atlético C.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of El Joro:s goal. Pitin Fresnedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Cordarell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Cordarell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pitin Fresnedo having to interfere. Pedro Cordarell's late challenge caught a El Joro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Cordarell helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of El Joro booed when Instituto Atlético C.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Cordarell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Instituto Atlético C.C's Clodoveo Totakoxe got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matias Honrio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute Silvano Montrelle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Siro Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Higinio Ciano got free with Siro Abreu in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clodoveo Totakoxe in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pitin Fresnedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the match, Clodoveo Totakoxe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pitin Fresnedo. El Joro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clodoveo Totakoxe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Matias Honrio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, one of Instituto Atlético C.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adan James stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pitin Fresnedo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 53rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Emanuel Quintana. Pedro Cordarell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pitin Fresnedo having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Pedro Cordarell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Instituto Atlético C.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Cordarell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pitin Fresnedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 66 minutes, Higinio Ciano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Joro and the Instituto Atlético C.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Siro Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adan James in the 72nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Matias Honrio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Instituto Atlético C.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Matias Honrio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pitin Fresnedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Clodoveo Totakoxe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Instituto Atlético C.C booed when El Joro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Iraido didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Emanuel Quintana in the 83rd minute really tested Pitin Fresnedo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Siro Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adan James in the 85th minute of the match. Instituto Atlético C.C's Siro Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan James in the 95th minute of play. The El Joro fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Instituto Atlético C.C were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
