The referee ignored Glorioso Newell´s's protests and gave Osvaldo Ekain a yellow card for diving instead. Osvaldo Ekain hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. A collision led to 742 Evergreen getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Nunez Malvin hit a great ball. After 28 played minutes 742 Evergreen got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Rocio. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the match, 742 Evergreen's goalkeeper Amado Ignazio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severiano Sesuldo. After a rather tough play, 742 Evergreen's Nunez Malvin got a free kick in the 39th minute. The supporters of 742 Evergreen booed when Glorioso Newell´s was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Ekain didn't get a good kick on the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Glorioso Newell´s's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Rocio came free, but Hernan Hegoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severiano Sesuldo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Glorioso Newell´s fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Glorioso Newell´s's Severiano Sesuldo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nunez Malvin struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Glorioso Newell´s's supporters rose to their feet, but Severiano Sesuldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amado Ignazio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Nofre made in the 77th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by 742 Evergreen's Rene Ekaitz. Amado Ignazio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saverio Brion, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Jonathan Nofre made in the 91st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Saverio Brion immediately put the ball in play. 742 Evergreen's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Glorioso Newell´s had won, even though 742 Evergreen had held more of the ball.
