After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Matias Honrio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Instituto Atlético C.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Matias Honrio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernan Hegoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Instituto Atlético C.C booed when Glorioso Newell´s was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Kemen didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Clodoveo Totakoxe came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Instituto Atlético C.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clodoveo Totakoxe couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Instituto Atlético C.C's Matias Honrio got a free kick in the 9th minute. Matias Honrio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Hegoi having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Pedro Cordarell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Clodoveo Totakoxe in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hernan Hegoi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 22nd minute, German Kemen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Instituto Atlético C.C getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Pedro Cordarell hit a great ball. After 32 played minutes Glorioso Newell´s got a freekick which was hit by Severiano Sesuldo. In the 35th minute, Pedro Cordarell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Clodoveo Totakoxe might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hernan Hegoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Clodoveo Totakoxe ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Glorioso Newell´s getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Abel Raymond hit a great ball. Siro Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Raymond in the 43rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clodoveo Totakoxe in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hernan Hegoi saved Glorioso Newell´s from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clodoveo Totakoxe made a kick off. After 53 minutes of play Glorioso Newell´s's German Kemen was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Instituto Atlético C.C booed when Glorioso Newell´s was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Kemen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Instituto Atlético C.C's Emanuel Quintana got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matias Honrio scored 1-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hernan Hegoi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 63rd minute, Clodoveo Totakoxe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With 66 minutes on the clock, Felix Tercero commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of Glorioso Newell´s:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Instituto Atlético C.C:s goal. Hernan Hegoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clodoveo Totakoxe in the 75th minute of play. Siro Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severiano Sesuldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Clodoveo Totakoxe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hernan Hegoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 83 minutes into the match, Glorioso Newell´s's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Honrio came free, but Hernan Hegoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Glorioso Newell´s's Herminio Bidun got a free kick in the 90th minute. Rogelio Dimo took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hernan Hegoi. Hernan Hegoi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Hernan Hegoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Dimo in the 98th minute of the match.
