The referee ignored San Miguel del Monte FC's protests and gave Tomás Iyan a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in San Miguel del Monte FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! San Miguel del Monte FC's Sebastian Isidor got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Javier Intxixu struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Justo Fonso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Miguel del Monte FC. After a defensive mix-up in La Armonía's zone, Javier Intxixu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justo Fonso came out of the goal and Javier Intxixu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. La Armonía's Justo Fonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Intxixu in the 40th minute of play. Sebastian Isidor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Justo Fonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Justo Fonso was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Javier Intxixu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Javier Intxixu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Javier Intxixu made a kick off. Javier Intxixu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Justo Fonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Javier Intxixu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Justo Fonso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of San Miguel del Monte FC booed when La Armonía was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermegildo Dorio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, one of San Miguel del Monte FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for San Miguel del Monte FC. San Miguel del Monte FC's Sebastian Isidor got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Javier Intxixu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Fonso having to interfere.
