But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Cordera couldn't finish the play. Elias Abancens's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Santos Guillerme skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Santos Guillerme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Cordera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerardo Brais struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Erasmo Eneto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sportivo Quilmeño. Jacinto Cordarius charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacinto Cordarius the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th match minute, Acomelia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Cordarius to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Sportivo Quilmeño getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Constantino Jaen hit a great ball. Santos Guillerme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Cordera in the 23rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Elias Abancens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Acomelia's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Abancens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santos Guillerme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sportivo Quilmeño's Gerardo Brais got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th minute Gerardo Brais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Eneto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Cordera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manuel Cordera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hernan Dantae struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Acomelia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Abancens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elias Abancens in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santos Guillerme saved Sportivo Quilmeño from getting behind. Santos Guillerme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Abancens in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75thth minute of the game Elias Abancens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sportivo Quilmeño's Santos Guillerme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Sportivo Quilmeño's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Abancens came free, but Santos Guillerme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerardo Brais's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erasmo Eneto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, Acomelia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidoro Lorenz to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 81 minutes, Gerardo Brais managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportivo Quilmeño's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerardo Brais was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Elias Abancens put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Santos Guillerme. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerardo Brais in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erasmo Eneto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Acomelia were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sportivo Quilmeño for a fine match.
