The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicasio Rexino during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. One of Deportivo Chascomus:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sportivo Quilmeño:s goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Mateo Obeko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Chascomus's supporters rose to their feet, but Mateo Obeko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santos Guillerme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mateo Obeko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Santos Guillerme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sportivo Quilmeño getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reynaldo Crescencio made a kick off. Santos Guillerme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reynaldo Crescencio's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute Reynaldo Crescencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Guillerme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Deportivo Chascomus booed when Sportivo Quilmeño was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Guerrero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deportivo Chascomus's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fidel Velasco in the 67th minute. After taking down the ball on Deportivo Chascomus's corner Fidel Velasco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Santos Guillerme quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reynaldo Crescencio in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santos Guillerme saved Sportivo Quilmeño from getting behind. Santos Guillerme came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Chascomus's Mateo Obeko. But to his dismay, Mateo Obeko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. When Nicasio Rexino was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 83 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Chascomus's Nicasio Rexino got a free kick in the 84th minute. Santos Guillerme made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Teobaldo Ospin sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Deportivo Chascomus's Santos Guillerme threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Reynaldo Crescencio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Santos Guillerme was a little too slow when Domingos Pudes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 1-6. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Reynaldo Crescencio took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Santos Guillerme to make any attempt to save it.
