The supporters of Pipinas AFC booed when Itacaruaré FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Cordara didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Itacaruaré FC's Amado Quintyn got control of the ball when Gaston Ledesma tried to sneak it across the goal line. Igor Gipuzkoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Eleazar having to interfere. Justo Eleazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Gipuzkoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Igor Gipuzkoa struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Justo Eleazar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itacaruaré FC. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Chago was the one to do the kick off. Justo Eleazar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnaldo Baumer in the 52nd minute. Amado Quintyn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Ledesma, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 73rd minute Igor Gipuzkoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justo Eleazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 played minutes Itacaruaré FC got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Indartsu. After recieving a nice pass, Pipinas AFC's Cristobal Patrido tried to score from far away in the 76th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itacaruaré FC's goalkeeper Amado Quintyn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amado Quintyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Chago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Siro Henric's late challenge caught a Pipinas AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Siro Henric helped the player get up and apologised. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Itacaruaré FC! Arnaldo Baumer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Justo Eleazar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Gaston Ledesma had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amado Quintyn. Itacaruaré FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaston Ledesma was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Mario Chago sped through Itacaruaré FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amado Quintyn. Leopoldo Cordara kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Itacaruaré FC's zone, Gaston Ledesma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amado Quintyn came out of the goal and Gaston Ledesma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
