Gonzalo Rosalio kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Los Hornos F.C's Gonzalo Rosalio got a free kick in the 17th minute. Placido Frances made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Afonso in the 21st minute of play. Hugo Afonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Frances having to interfere. Placido Frances made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Dario Benet sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th match minute, Rivas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Umea to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when German Senen made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Los Hornos F.C booed when Rivas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Obano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Placido Frances made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Afonso in the 56th minute of play. The Los Hornos F.C fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Los Hornos F.C's Dario Benet looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 61st minute Hugo Afonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Frances saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Los Hornos F.C's goal looked a bit too open when German Senen came free, but Jonatan Francis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Honorato Obano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Francis having to interfere. If Dario Benet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Afonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Placido Frances tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the game, Los Hornos F.C's Dario Benet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Placido Frances made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The supporters of Rivas booed when Los Hornos F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Silviano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Placido Frances was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Los Hornos F.C were victorious despite being under pressure from Rivas for much of the match.
